How It Works

The Spoken Toast works independently, quietly, and without interrupting your planner, your timeline, or your attention. What we deliver is often the most personal, moving piece of the entire event.

  • We arrive during the reception and quietly set up in a tucked-away spot. No disruption, no extra coordination required.

  • Over the course of 2 hours, we invite up to 10 guests (chosen by you) to share stories, memories, and reflections in short, relaxed interviews. No scripts. No pressure. Just the kind of moments that happen when people can relax and be real.

  • This is where the real magic happens. We handcraft a polished short film from the interviews, carefully pacing and shaping the story to feel intentional, emotional, and complete.

  • Your final film is delivered via private link within 60 days and ready to watch, download, and share.

  • The Spoken Toast is completely self-contained. We arrive quietly, set up independently, and work seamlessly in the background to film elegant, emotionally rich interviews. No timeline changes. No added logistics. Your clients receive a one-of-a-kind heirloom film and you don’t lift a finger.

  • Not at all. We don’t film the ceremony, speeches, or any part of the wedding or event itself.

    Think of us like a storytelling version of a photobooth: a standalone service that adds something special without overlapping with your other vendors.

  • Not even a little. We set up quietly in a tucked-away area, usually after dinner or speeches. No help needed from your planner or vendors. We’re completely self-contained.

  • Typically during a 1–2 hour window later in the reception. We find a natural pause, usually after dinner, dancing, or other formalities, to pull guests aside briefly for relaxed interviews.

  • Up to 10. It’s the perfect number to keep the edit meaningful, well-paced, and emotionally balanced.

  • Each guest participates in a short, conversational session designed to feel warm and relaxed. While most interviews last around 5 minutes, some may be shorter or a bit longer depending on the flow and the guest’s comfort. We make sure to keep interviews enjoyable without pulling guests away from the celebration longer than they want.

  • Absolutely. You can provide a few themes or ideas in advance or let us guide it and let your guests surprise you.

  • We don’t deliver raw files. The magic is in the edit: off-camera prompts, pacing, and structure all come together to create a polished, cohesive story that feels intentional from start to finish.

  • Not at all. We also create Spoken Toasts for rehearsal dinners, milestone birthdays, baby showers, anniversaries, retirement parties, and more. Wherever people gather and share stories, we can capture them.

  • We’re based in Sacramento and are available to film in Napa, San Francisco, and other destination locations by request.
